What is circadian lighting and why is it important?

Circadian lighting is an approach within Human Centric Lighting (HCL) in which changing the intensity and spectral composition of artificial light affects human biological functions, just as happens under the influence of daylight. It is also known as biologically active lighting due to new medical findings confirming its impact on the biological functioning of the human body.

The human biological rhythm is directly related to the alternation of day and night.
